Completely CLA'd and is in essentially perfect optical and mechanical condition. Glass, coatings and aperture blades exhibit no wear or meaningful physical defects. The cosmetic appearance is very fine but, in all candor, the physical body of the lens does appear somewhat worse in real life than the illustrative picture. There is satin chrome "brighting" in numerous places that appears to be more subtle in the pictures than when the lens is looked at directly.

THE 90mm F2.8 ELMARIT LEICA's first 90mm Elmarit a Long Focus Portrait Lens

Optically a 5/3 (Five Element in Three Groups) A frontal singlet with two cemented pairs just behind it and behind the aperture blades. Based on the precedent Hektor, it can be regarded as a Hektor variant. It was introduced in both Leica SM and Leica Rangefinder Bayonet mounts. The lens head (of either) and also available separately fits via Leica's universal focusing mount 16464 to either the Visoflex II or III. It came first in Satin Chrome and Black and later (circa 1969) in all black ostensibly to match the rest of the Leica M mount lens line.

New in box with warranty papers as it came from the dealer Indistinguishable from new but no box or no papers or both Very close to new condition with only subtle signs of use or handling. Extremely nice condition but does show some handling and use but no hard use whatsoever. Excellent condition but shows some wear and use. Perfectly Excellent operating condition but cosmetics leave something to be desired. Usable but has mechanical, optical and cosmetic issues as indicated in individual descriptions Issues as indicated in individual descriptions Very significant conditions as indicated in individual descriptions. The lower end of this range is basically a paperweight that looks something like it might once have taken some pictures.
