The MINOLTA SRT101
The SRT series was introduced in 1966 with the SRT101 as its basis and in different variations spanned 1 1/2 decades thru 1981. The basic/introductory model, the SRT-101 lasted 10 years of that. Later models and variations are basically highly similar with added (hot shoe for the 200 series) or deleted (lock-up mirror, self-timer) features or specific model designations for certain geographic regions.
The CLC (Contrast Light Compensation) metering system introduced on the 101 is a technically very crude* but highly effective precursor to Nikon's matrix light metering which was to come much later on its FA. (*It is little more than a two CdS cell array wired in series and sampling light from two different areas of the exposure such that greatest weight is given to the least lit region)
The variations over life of each model are great in added of omitted capabilities and features and more significant than its designation to the value of each model are the included features.
SC/MC and SC-II/MC-II models are those designated for very large mass merchandisers such as K-MART and Sears.
The 200 series includes a hot shoe.
The 300 series is the European designated version,
The 500 series is the Japanese designated version.

Extremely nice condition but does show some handling and use but no hard use whatsoever. Excellent condition but shows some wear and use. Perfectly Excellent operating condition but cosmetics leave something to be desired. Usable but has mechanical, optical and cosmetic issues as indicated in individual descriptions Issues as indicated in individual descriptions Very significant conditions as indicated in individual descriptions. The lower end of this range is basically a paperweight that looks something like it might once have taken some pictures.
