Essentially GORGEOUS condition. Other than some wear to the paint on the pentaprism housing, sparse scratches on the base cover and very few marks elsewhere; the finish looks near new as shown in the illustrative pictures. This body has seen very few rolls of film. Completely CLA'd and both shutter speeds and meter is on factory standards. |

Arguably the very best manual focus camera ever produced for less than the most arduous professional duty. Extremely lightly used Chrome FM3a body in gorgeous condition. Body shows only scant shiny marks along back of top cover. Body is relatively immaculate otherwise. Has fresh mirror bumper cushion and elastomer light seals. Supplied with original Nikon box and manual.

Gorgeous very gently used condition. Near perfect cosmetic condition as shown in the pictures. Save for a very minor "bump" on the top cover near the rewind knob and a number of very minor shiny marks all over, the appearance is essentially close to perfect. Completely CLA'd and has perfect meter and shutter speed operation. All new mirror bumper cushion and light seal elastomers. One very minor flaw (depicted in the 8th and 11th illustrative pictures) in the trailing shutter blades is a trivial mark in two of those blades which does not interfere in any way with operation and for which the price has been adjusted.

The Nikon FM3aNikon's most advanced, advanced amateur camera body and arguably the most desirable Manual Focus body that Nikon ever produced. Couples perfectly to any AI or more advanced manual focus lens ever produced as well as many auto focus lenses. (HINT: Stay away from "G" type [GELDED] lenses.) With an advanced electronic shutter mechanism backed up with Nikon's most advanced mechanical shutter speed governing system. This camera body is easily the most advanced and most stable over time ever produced. It is as if Nikon produced it in order to set the standard for what could be produced and Nikon obviously succeeded. This is as wonderful camera body as exists and it takes a great many of the most wonderful lenses that can be found.
Nikon's FM3a ("a" represents "automatic shutter speed control" or aperture priority automatic automation) could well have been designated "FE3m" with the "m" standing for mechanical shutter speeds when the electronic (battery operated) system fails. In fact the FM3a is an optimal combination of the best features of the FM2n and the FE2 plus some additional features such as DX encoding contacts for setting film speed.
