Nikkormat/Nikomat FS/FT
The original Nikkormat FS/FT (Nikomat in certain overseas markets including Japan) were the first more economical bodies produced by Nikon, under the Nikon F, that were designed to take the family of Nikkor reflex designed lenses. (The Nikkorex body lines were never actually produced by Nikon and were designed and fabricated for Nikon by such companies as Mamiya Sekor.)
The FS was largely identical in design to the FT but for economy was produced only in chrome, had no mirror lock up feature and no built in meter.
There was an early prototype of this series with a non BTL CdS sensor that never made it into production.
