105mm f2.8 AIS Micro Nikkor

In April of 1984, with onset serial number 182001, Nikon introduced its arguably best "portrait/micro" to that date. It had "floating element" CRC (Close Range Correction), 9 elements arranged in 8 groups (Nikon erroneously reported the formula of this lens as a (10/9) 10 elements in 9 groups which has resulted in incorrect reports of this lens that persist even to this date.) weighs 515 grams and takes 52mm filters/attachments. The lens focuses to 1:2 with out attachments and takes a PN-11 extension ring to take it all the way to 1:0.88. Some recommend the use of a well corrected optical extender over the extension ring optionb to maintain optimal optical corrections but the additional glass surfaces bring the expense of lowered contrast already suffering with a total of ten elements.
Women are known to hate this lens for portraits for its amazing sharpness which brings out every skin flaw and error in make-up application.

Perfectly Excellent operating condition but cosmetics leave something to be desired. Usable but has mechanical, optical and cosmetic issues as indicated in individual descriptions Issues as indicated in individual descriptions Very significant conditions as indicated in individual descriptions.
