The 28mm f1.4 AF-D ASP (ASPherical)

Introduced August 1993 this is a truly stunning lens. One less recognized fact that that photographers use all the time when selecting shutter speeds, faster ones for telephoto shots vs slower ones for wide angle shots, is the motion deminishing effect as you go to wider angle lenses, and that a 28mm f1.4 lens is the equivalent of a 50mm f1.2 both for compensating for camera shake and for stopping object motion. Further, the depth of field for all apertures at 28mm gives the lens considerably greater utility at all apertures. At the top of Nikon's prestige pyramid, this lens is not only a major achievement, it is one of extremely great utility.
Its very elegant optical design execution renders it great utility both in demanding AF application as well as for manual camera use.

New in box with warranty papers as it came from the dealer Indistinguishable from new but no box or no papers or both Very close to new condition with only subtle signs of use or handling. Extremely nice condition but does show some handling and use but no hard use whatsoever. Excellent condition but shows some wear and use. Perfectly Excellent operating condition but cosmetics leave something to be desired.
